Where are you from?
I was born in Venezuela, but for 10 years I lived in Heidelberg which is in beautiful south Germany.
What do you like most about San Diego?
Definitely the weather, my new close friendships, the serenity and positivity of the people around here, and of course the American food.
What are your hobbies?
One of my hobbies is enjoying the beach and the sun! Since me and my friends live very close to the beach, we try almost every day to improve our volleyball skills at South Mission Beach.
What degree are you working on and what is your major?
I just finished my MBA at CIBU this summer. Before coming to San Diego, I studied International Business Management (BA) in Heidelberg in Spanish and English.
How did you hear about CIBU?
I was looking for a university offering an MBA program abroad. I initially asked my former university if there were any partner universities abroad. They gave me a list including CIBU in San Diego. After I found out that many of my former class mates also studied at CIBU and how great “Sun Diego” is, I definitely made my decision!
What do you want to do when you are done with school?
I already signed an employment contract for an M&A consultancy in Germany before I came to CIBU. As soon as I’m back, I’ll need to plan my move and find the right apartment.
What do you miss most about home?
Well, besides my family and friends, I really miss the German food, the Autobahn and European soccer, or as we call it football.
What do you like most about CIBU?
I really enjoyed the experience of working closely with the instructors at CIBU. I was able to independently apply the theories from case studies we reviewed and practice giving presentations. I really felt like the professors cared about students and took their time to give detailed feedback about the work we did.
What’s your favorite food, musician, and actor?
My favorite food I really love Mediterranean, Asian and typical German food, and after one year in San Diego I will definitely minimize my fast food consumption in the future.
