What year did you graduate from CIBU, and what degree or certificate did you earn?

I graduated last year in 2012 from the Bachelor Degree program in International Management at CIBU.

What country are you from, and where are you now?

I am from France, and right now, I am pursuing an MBA in international management in Lille, France and I will finish it between Paris and New York next year.
The goal is to get a double degree from my French university ISEG Business School in partnership with the St’Johns University of Manhattan, New York.

Tell us about your professional life.   Are you working? Interning? Starting your own business? Furthering your education? Traveling?   We’re eager to hear the details!  Share a link if you’d like.

Concerning my professional life, after receiving my Bachelor Degree at CIBU, I did an internship as a stock broker at BNY Mellon, (Bank Of New York Mellon) a bank specialized in asset management where I had to process transactions in a high pressure and deadline driven environment. I really thank CIBU to having brought me the different tools such as (Corporate Finance or Business Communications to have been able to find this internship)

Tell us about your personal life.   How did your experience abroad help you grow as a person?

About my personal life, I think that my experience abroad helped me a lot to grow as a person, it brought me all the keys to become a real entrepreneur as I plan to create my own company in the future specialized in communication. Moreover, this experience in San Diego also helped me with my relationships with foreigners as I was living with other international students mainly from Brazil, Saoudi Arabia, and the USA with who I am still in contact and speaking to almost every day.

It showed me that I would like to work abroad in an international environment with people from all over the world and also try to share my experience with them. This experience was even better than my previous years studing in France.

How do you think your studies at CIBU have helped you achieve your overall goals?

I think that my studies at CIBU helped me to achieve my overall goals, it helped me to realize a part of my dream which was first to study in the USA, and brought me all the elements to be able to make  my dreams come to true, aligning with my future projects such as being a global leader via an international degree and international global skills. That’s also why I love sharing my experiences with other students today.

Since my experience in San Diego, I am definitely sure that I will work abroad; it’s also the reason why I plan to go back to San Diego this summer. My studies at CIBU also have shown me the importance of learning languages when you are travelling or working abroad, indeed, I recognized that it’s also the key to improve your relationship with people.

CIBU brought me all the key elements for success and I recommend this experience to each student who would like to work abroad like me.

Any insight, wisdom, or recommendations you’d like to share  for future students?

I suggest to the future students that they believe in their dreams and try to do everything to make them true, this experience at CIBU in San Diego will bring you all the elements to shape your different projects.
